1. Reduce the number of blood points (BP) gained as much as possible
2. Handle the blood beasts while still being able to provide a solid dps burn

For you, the fight was made easier by modifying our raid positioning, shown below:
To avoid multiple people taking blood novas and generating more blood points, the idea is to ensure that raid members stay at least 12 yards from each other. While healers are good candidates to draw blood beast aggro, any raid members that will draw considerable aggro on the blood beasts should be at the end of the frost/kite area, with remaining healers and ranged dps forming a semi-circle behind the melee or tanks. This creates a path down which the blood beasts can be directed, slowed, snared and killed before they reach the dps, thus allowing them to generate no BP from hitting people. Ranged DPS should be using abilities that slow or snare targets to keep them controled. You also learned that immobilization abilities for the most part do not work. To make it easier to get them out of the melee, you should have all melee and tanks avoid using aoe abilities before the blood beasts spawn. You typically called out at the 10sec mark to make sure melee or tanks knew to get any last short duration AoE in before the beasts were up.
